book of wisdom

A Thought for the Day from Bu Hua's Book of Wisdom, a series of lessons from the ancient Chinese fable 'Journey to the West'.

Good advice for planners?

Bu Hua is also a Flash animation trail blazer and you can see more of her work here.

this is like the sun tzu quote:

All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near. Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and crush him.

I think this translastion of the text's original introduction probably adds most our udnerstanding of the philosophy:

Born from an egg on a mountain top,
The punkiest Monkey that ever popped.
He knew every magic trick under the sun,
To tease the gods
And everyone can have some fun.
